Corporate governance refers to a combination of laws , legislation, processes, tacit rules and voluntary practises that allow companies to achieve long-term value for shareholders effectively and optimise and at the same time take care of the interests of other stakeholders such as buyers, government, general society, etc. Lenders, whether national or foreign, are also looking for them in every company for publicity. In operations and making proper disclosures, it is a function of accountability and justice.

Over the years, business as a corporate organisation has become famous. With these companies' growth in size, governance has become all the more relevant. SEBI and listing agreements of different stock exchanges require that the corporate governance standards are properly complied with.
